Objectives
The objectives of this Association
are:
- To help parents and teachers acquire a profound appreciation of the ideals of Catholic Education.
- To promote a clearer understanding of the mutual educational responsibilities of parents and teachers.
- To encourage a greater degree of cooperation between home and school by providing an opportunity for parents and teachers to come forward and share their opinions. However, this Association is not a means for interference in school policy making or management.
- To raise funds for the betterment of the school.
Membership
All registered families and
faculty of St. John the Baptist Catholic School are members of this Association.
- Open Forum meetings are held on a quarterly basis is the Parish Hall. All parents and teachers are welcome and encouraged to come. Notices are sent out through the family envelopes.
- Parents are requested
to volunteer for Home & School events. Many jobs are available with
very
flexible hours. (Please let us know your schedule – we can work around it.) Requests for volunteers are made through the Time & Talent sheets, Folder Parent Communications and flyers through the family envelope. Please feel free to contact any of the officers at any time to volunteer. If all else fails please just show up on the scheduled date of the event, helping hands are always welcome.
