Band
At St. John the Baptist students in grades four through seven are eligible for participation in band. Our band teacher is Mr. Maycroft, with Band For Today. Band lessons are scheduled weekly. Two concert opportunities are offered, one in the winter and one in the spring. Students have the ability to compete in a solo competition one time each school year. Progress reports go home to the band students' parents to inform them of the advancements their child is making in learning how to play the instrument they have chosen. Registration for band happens in early fall and is online. Kindergarten through third grade are offered the opportunity to learn piano with two concert opportunites avaiable as well.
