Rooted in Catholic Tradition. Renewed through Classical Education.
Our new middle school program is more than a rebrand - it’s a return to the Church’s rich educational heritage. Launching in Fall 2025, St. John the Baptist Catholic Academy will be the first diocesan classical school in the region, leading with clarity, purpose, and joy.
Daily Mass: Our school day begins with daily Mass, grounding everything in the Eucharist. Frequent adoration and confession as well.
Integrated Classical Curriculum: All subjects are approached through the lens of Catholic truth, beauty, and goodness. See below for our curriculum list.
Classical Methods:
Socratic seminars and rich discussions
Primary source texts and great books
Focus on virtue formation, not just behavior management
Emphasis on memorization, narration, analysis, and argumentation
Our Tried and True:
Specials: Art, music, four days of PE, and walking field trips to the library. Students can also participate in band if they are signed up!
Before and aftercare if a parent needs more time.
Sports: Through an agreement with Montini, another local Catholic school, our students can participate in basketball, volleyball, cross country, or track.
Phased Expansion: Building the Full Classical Model
Phase 1: 2025 - 2026
Middle School will go through their transition - new curriculum, location, dress code, daily Mass, drop off/pick up procedures.
Elementary school will move to Seton Science and Math Mammoth.
Phase 2: 2026 - 2027
Extend classical education to grades K- 4th with a new curriculum for Language Arts, Salvation History, and Catechesis.
Middle school will continue to expand - Latin classes, drama/art/music offerings expanded, dedicated Theology teacher, and depending on enrollment numbers I’d like to see some sports offered here.
Phase 3: Fully classical Pre-K through 8 by 2027 - 2028
Graduates who are faithful, articulate, and intellectually confident
