Rosemary Kondritz has resided in Johnsburg with her husband, Dan, and 3 daughters and has been a parishioner of St. John the Baptist for over 40 years. She received her B.S. degree in Education Cum Laude in 1994 from Northern Illinois University and M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University in 2000. She worked for Woodstock District 200 teaching both 3rd and 5th grades for 20 years. During that time she also taught religious education for St. John the Baptist 6th through 8th grades. At the present time she loves teaching 8th grade Religious Education Confirmation students. She is currently retired but joyfully took the position of Resource teacher at St. John the Baptist School. This will be her 3rd year as Resource teacher and she loves it more than ever! The school’s objective for having the Resource Room is to be able to remediate or enrich students with extra academic needs. Sometimes just a little boost is needed or sometimes students need to be challenged above their grade level activity. She works hand-in-hand with the regular education teachers at St. John’s and also corresponds with the special education teachers who might service our students in the district. Her three girls are married and building relationships and families of their own. Currently she has 3 grandsons who are the joy of her life. Her love for teaching and learning never ends as she belongs to a woman’s Bible study/prayer group and gardens profusely.
